Itinerary - Pretoria to the Valley of the Olifants, Limpopo Province

Journey eastward across the highveld – along the historic Delagoa Bay Railway Line into the heart of Mpumalanga Province – to Waterval Boven, where the line drops 228 metres from the plateau – at a gradient of up to 1 in 20 – sweeping downwards into the valley of the Elands River.
At Kaapmuiden the train leaves the Maputo line and travels due North – along the Western border of the Kruger National Park – to Hoedspruit in the Valley of the Olifants.
Extend your visit (at surcharge) at an exclusive game lodge and see Africa’s Big Five in their natural habitat. Go fly-fishing, play golf, or visit the panoramic Blyde Rive Canyon.
