- The Duggan-Cronin Gallery
Amateur photographer Alfred Duggan-Cronin’s interesting collection of
photographs was taken between 1919 and 1939 when he worked his way through
southern Africa, photographing the indigenous peoples. There are so few
people remaining today who still adhere to their old customs, or who dress
in anything other than Western-style clothing except of ceremonial
occasions, that it is fascinating to see this magnificent exhibition
depicting such a valuable part of the sub-continent’s past.
