a) Basic License Course Covers theory, ground training, low altitude flight training and supervision of 25 solo high flights from a height of more than 100 metres, to make you eligible to write the Basic License Exam. Includes 1 tandem flight with instruction and the use of all necessary equipment for 1st 10 flights. It is essential that you purchase or bring along your own equipment in order to progress your flying at a more sophisticated rate and to greatly improve your skill level. Not having your own equipment will greatly hinder your flight time, which is crucial to your development during the course.

• After completing the Basic License Course (25 flights and the practical test), you become eligible to write the Basic License Exam as prescribed by SAHPA. This is an open book exam and the minimum pass mark is 85%. After completion of the exam, you are required to pay the exam marking fee and the annual SAHPA membership fee. This then elevates you to the rank of Basic Pilot.

(b) Tandem Flights Experience the thrill and excitement of Paragliding by flying with a licensed Tandem Instructor at one of our exclusive sites. A half or full day to be set aside for this.

(c) Gyrocopter & Tandem Paragliding Combination

• Fly as a passenger on this incredible aircraft! A beautiful air tour of paragliding sites and the Valley of a Thousand Hills. Flights last up to 1 hour.
• Then it’s off to our tandem paragliding site, just a ½ hour drive away. Enjoy the included light lunch before heading up the mountain for some beautiful afternoon ridge-soaring.
