3. Walker Bay, Hermanus, Western Cape: 2005
- The Klein River lagoon meanders through a mountainous nature reserve with prolific bird life boasting over 130 bird species including the African fish eagle and some of the rarest coastal breeding birds in southern Africa. The lagoon is 10 km in length surrounded by the Klein River Mountains and Walker Bay Nature Reserve. The lagoon offers a safe kayaking experience for all abilities with majestic river and mountain views.
